Parkour..France really is revolutionary

Jun 30th, 2009 by Optimus Rhymes

This week’s thing you should know about is Parkour a.k.a. the art of motion. It’s absolutely huge in Europe, and it’s hard to miss Parkour in movies or any videos you’ve seen on youtube.

David Belle is considered to be the founder of this modern movement. If you wan’t to know it’s complete origin then check the wiki out. The art of motion is so popular theres a French movie (District B-13) which Parkour is prominently featured, David Belle is actually in it. The acting is pretty bad, but the action is 2nd to none. Some of the stuff you saw Damien Walters doing was also Parkour. Check out some videos..and if your crazy enough, go try out some moves. They are hard as shit to do, trust me.

Hi! I am a professor at Columbia who wants to use an image of yours as the cover of a book he is editing with two students here.

The image is the one at

    http://images.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.sauceoftheday.com/images/parkour.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.sauceoftheday.com/345/parkour-france-really-is-revolutionary/&usg=__T8bNlfxAQBTUL6RL0kNbxdMYTSM=&h=480&w=314&sz=78&hl=en&start=6&um=1&tbnid=mSGxQZ4sb1zYEM:&tbnh=129&tbnw=84&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dparkour%26hl%3Den%26client%3Dfirefox-a%26rls%3Dorg.mozilla:en-US:official%26sa%3DN%26um%3D1

which shows multiple parkour, with a dog watching! it looks like a French image, and I am wondering if you own copyright or know who does?

John, we do not own the copyrights to this image. Unfortunately I do not know its owner..its from an early post of ours and I could not track down the page I got it from. It was from a google search. If I can find the origins of the photo I will email you, and thanks for stopping by our site!
